Lake Vyrnwy, Powys, Wales
The team were engaged by Hafren Dyfrdwy to report on the potential for sustainably developed tourist accommodation at the 9,510ha Lake Vyrnwy estate in Mid-Wales, on the edge of Snowdonia/Eryri National Park.
Bournemouth Beach Lodges, Bournemouth
Forward Land worked with Hotel Solutions to conduct a comprehensive review of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council’s current tourist accommodation and advise on the potential for their future sustainable development.
Sherford, Devon
Forward Land and Hotel Solutions worked on behalf of a private land owner to support their appeal against a planning refusal. We produced a supply audit, trends review and demand appraisal in support of the up-scale, sustainable holiday cottages in Devon and presented our findings at the appeal hearing.
Grizedale Forest, The Lake District
Forward Land worked with Hotel Solutions to produce a commercial study into the feasibility of a forest climate pavilion and observatory in Grizedale Forest, in the Lake District, on behalf of Forestry England.

Linton Camp, Yorkshire Dales National Park
Forward Land took over a scheme struggling in the planning process to rework the design and achieve an historic consent in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Already an established visitor destination in County Durham, Forestry England engaged Forward Land and Hotel Solutions to undertake a feasibility study into the potential to develop and operation of holiday accommodation at Hamsterley Forest.

Forward Land were appointed by the National Forest Company to deliver their Sustainable Tourism Accommodation Development Programme. A ground breaking programme to support landowners in their development of sustainable tourism accommodation.
Kielder Castle, Northumberland
Part of the team commissioned by Forestry England to undertake an options appraisal, feasibility study and operational delivery model for the future use of Kielder Castle for visitor accommodation.
Kilvington Lakes, Nottinghamshire
A plan which demonstrated how quarry locations can be sustainably repurposed into high end tourist accommodation with supporting amenities and significant biodiversity gain.
John O’Groats, Scotland
Masterplanning and redevelopment of John O’Groats featuring the repurposing of a derelict hotel and creation of sustainable self catering accommodation. A mixed use masterplan was consented for the development of the public areas.
